Normally, the casino has a formal dress code but for our poker event, they will be very relaxed. The only thing not really allowed is open shoes (slippers, flipflops, etc) and shorts

Travel from Airport to the Casino/Hotel
The official taxi partner for Budapest Airport - Zona Taxi. It’s a safe and reliable service and the prices are fixed, so players won’t get ripped off. Ask for a printout of the information at the airport or visit their website at Zóna Taxi. The cost of a taxi from airport to the hotel/casino is approximately €25.
Welcome desk
We will have a Unibet-staffed welcome desk at the Marriott Hotel as all players will be accommodated there. At the Tropicana Casino we will also have an information point for players
Welcome drinks & Party
Welcome drinks event will be arranged in the bar at the Marriott Hotel on the evening of the 5th of March 2009. The event will be from 10 PM until midnight. There will be an open (on selected beverages) bar during this time.
For the party on the Saturday night (7th March), we’re looking at some of the really good clubs in Budapest. Information on this will be available during the event at the Unibet Open Welcome desk in the Marriott Hotel.

Players’ Lounge in the Casino
A players’ Lounge is located in the casino, near the tournament area. Dinner will be served in the players’ lounge in the evenings, and finger food, coffee, tea and soft drinks will be provided by the casino, will be available free throughout the day. If players want alcoholic drinks, they have to pay for them.
The players’ lounge is free for all players and press, but players’ guests have to pay an entry fee of about €20.
On each play day, the dinner break will be from 8.30PM to 9.30PM, and during these times, players playing on that day will get priority access to the players’ lounge for dinner.

The Tropicana casino will offer some cash games for players from early-ish in the evening onward. The casino’s partner, Las Vegas Casino (located in the same building), will also offer 2 cash games tables that will run 24 hours a day, every day throughout the event.
Casino Legalities
The Tropicana Casino and the Las Vegas Casino in Budapest are the only two legally licensed casinos in the city. Players must be aware that if they visit any of the other casinos, that these casinos are operating illegally and are unregulated.

We are making arrangements for the event to be live streamed and will have a link available for it on the Unibet Open Website during the event.

- All players will be accommodated at the Marriott Hotel in Budapest
- Players on a Unibet Open Package are given 4 nights accommodation – but for this event, players on day 1A will be able to stay 5 nights.
- Day 1B and 1C players: rooms will be available for 4 nights from the 5th of March 2009 – these players will NOT get an extra night’s accommodation
- HOTEL CHECKOUT FOR ALL PLAYERS IS 9th MARCH 2009
- Players may bring a guest at no extra cost. We are not able to guarantee whether the room will contain one double bed or 2 beds.
- Additional expenses incurred by players and guests (internet, mini-bar, etc) will be for their own account.
- If players do not let us know they’re bringing a guest, they’ll automatically be allocated to a “single occupancy” room
- We will arrange for players’ rooms to be cleaned at a later time during the day, to accommodate for players who will be playing poker late at night.
