sorry voor crossposting:
On the sixth of may, you'll have the chance to stack your chips for the benefit of "Radios for Congo", during the Poker For Life Tournament in Brussels.
Radios for Congo is a project where people, guess what, gather radios for Congo. The idea is that communication of news, knowledge, .. is often very hard in regions without decent infrastructures like television or internet. So Jo Buelens (Erasmus Hogeschool lector and missionary) had the idea to help local radio "Oka Kyondo", to gather radios, and extending the impact of that local radio.
Sport for life is being organised by students from Erasmus Hogeschool Brussel, who are putting together several activities, completely voluntary.
Practical details:
date: 6th of May, 5pm (food), 6pm (tournament)
location: Erasmushogeschool Brussel, Zespenningenstraat 70, 1000 Brussel
There's an entrance fee of 8 euro, including a drink and a spaghetti. There's a lot of fuzz about this event, so make sure you register in advance at www.sportforlife.be
The tournament structure and prizes (sponsored) are to be announced.
