Hi all,

Again sorry for the English text. I promise you that next one will come in Dutch :niceone:

I have just come to know "bijberoep". As far as I understood, it allows me to have a company while I am working in my actual job. By this way, I can pay way too less tax and stuff. Can you comment on this part? Are these correct?

Here my questions:
1. Can I have one company as bijberoep but do many different kinds of jobs underneath? For example, I will have my company as bijberoep and I will have let say a garage, an online webshop and let say a shop where I am selling refrigerators? I just made up these jobs. I want to ask if having multiple of jobs which are completely irrelevant from each other at the same time allowed in bikberoep?
2. Where should I start to have a bijberoep company?
3. What department is responsible for my all questions?
4. Is there anybody around who is having his/her own bijberop? I just want to get some information about it. I just need somebody to consult for my all questions related to bijberop.

In the second one, there are some criterias to become "Zelfstandige in bijberoep" right after the following, "Zelfstandige in bijberoep ben je wanneer je je naast die zelfstandige activiteit in een van volgende situaties bevindt:"

Now I am working in a company as a software developer. However, my bijberoep will be totally different domain like, for example, having a webshop where I am selling some baby stuff. Can I do that?

Allright. Can I do multiple jobs under my bijberoep? Can I have, for example, 10 different webshops? :scream: I think I am a bit forcing too much :)

sowieso moet je aangeven wat je wenst te doen (ondernemersloket -unizo). en zij geven goedkeuring of niet. Meestal moet je in dezelfde categorie blijven (onder 1 zaak). juwelen verkopen en handtassen zal mogen; juwelen en charcuterie niet of je moet 2 verschillende zaken opstarten...dacht ik...

uw bijberoep moet meestal zelfs iets anders zijn. Als postbode mag je bijv geen krantjes gaan rondbrengen. Concurrerende activiteiten worden dikwijls in het arbeidscontract verboden.

There is something that I don't understand or miss. I have already contacted to Acerta in Gent and they ask some papers from me including the activity plan. I am planning to put there, for example, having webshops in general. I won't say how many and I won't say what kind of webshops. Just webshops. Wouldn't that be enough? Is there any example of this document?

Yes, i don't think it matters what you do, every kind of business has a specific code for the tax administration.
Yours will be 'sales on distance' (afstandsverkoop) with some specification. So maby give some products where you will start with.
Later on, when all goes well, you can change or add the kind of business and add a few 'codes'. They just want to know what you do.

Any accountant can do it, but not every accountant will do it. Every accountant has a specific group of clients. f.e. (simplistic) the first one does farmers, the second one groceries-stores (sorry if it isn't the right word), a third one does medium stores... and so on.

In Belgium we have 2 different kind of accountants:
- The ones that legally can have the title of accountant. (These you find on: Instituut van de Accountants en de Belastingconsulenten - België - IAB)
- The ones that legally can have the title of bookkeeper (or accounting professional) (These you find on: www.bibf.be)

The most of them (accountants and bookkeepers) know their job well. The choice is up to you ;)

Thank you very much. I understand very clearly. I have been googling around to find one and I will make an appointment after getting some response from them.
