Concept :
Beats of Love would like to welcome you to one of the fattest, dingly-woogly-dongly parties in Ghent on New Year’s Eve. We will treat you with the biggest electro boom-boom sounds around as well as a dubstep room for the wobbly-wobble diehard fans.
In the Ballroom the artists will take you on a pounding electro trip that will make your head spin like wiggle-wiggle and your feet move like swoop-swoop. The Dutch duo Mightyfools who are mighty on the decks and fools for music will lead the way. Since their debut with the Partyjunkies EP they have conquered the world by a storm and also caught the attention of Lektroluv Records on which their latest hits ‘That’s the shit’ and ‘Devil’s Marbels’ appeared. Their new ‘Tonite/Super Summer EP’ is just out and ready to blow through the roof. And then we haven’t even talked about their remixes.
They will be joined by label-mate Gtronic who surprised everybody in his young career after releasing the smash hit ‘Iron man’. He is now remixing The Bloody Beetroots and Steve Aoki from the legendary Dim Mak label for whom he’s also produced solo as well as being a fresh revelation on Lektroluv.
Also taking control of the decks in the Ballroom are our Beats of Love resident Spacid and boom chi booms Static & Greedy from leading electro parties as Blow the Speakers and Woop Woop in Ghent.
In the other room you can count on some serious electro-house beats to create an exuberant atmosphere. That atmosphere will be delivered by some of Belgium’s finest electro jocks as well as an international guest. Well, actually two as Renaissance Man, despite the name, is a duo, this time hailing from Finland. They have made remarkable appearances on major festivals as Dour and Les Ardentes, now you can see them in a more intimate setting. They are responsible for major tracks as ‘Spraygun’ and ‘What is Guru’. They are also to be found on maxi’s from Harvard Bass and Crystal Fighters as well as on the Kitsuné compilation and labels as Turbo and Sound Pellegrino.
They are sharing the decks with one of the biggest Belgian electro acts of the moment, namely the diddly-doodily Sound of Stereo who have performed on all major festival in the country from 10daysoff to Dour and I love Techno to Pukkelpop. It’s clear that they wouldn’t have made it there without super solid productions which you can find on Dim Mak and again the green Doctor’s label.
Also well on their way to making it to the top are Ultravid who’s Silverback Recordings label is supported by the likes of Brodinski, Sinden and yes, Sound of Stereo. Hector & Nate complete the heavy bass fest in room 2.
More bass but then of another kind will be served in the third room where the dubstep breakz will be provided by One87 who will bring an exclusive dubstep set for this special occasion. He will be backed up by one of the dubstep pioneers of Belgium, Kastor & Dice from the Untitled! parties and label in Antwerp as well as a young talent who will be chosen through vi.be from Poppunt. So if you think you’ve got the right stuff, get your mixes up there and who knows…
As it’s New Years eve you can obviously also expect some special treats as a lounge salon, champagne bar, ding-ding lights & a great atmosphere full of Love, to start the year with a bang-bang!
