Ik heb op mijn laptop de allerlaatste debian geïnstalleerd. Nu wil ik met twee schermen werken en krijg ik maar een scherm aan de gang.

Uit de foutmelding (eerste regel) valt af te leiden dat je DRI alvast moet disablen (of de MergedFB optie gebruiken). Dus :

soit, xserver geeft toch al geen errors meer.
start xserver helemaal niet of krijgt ge enkel geen beeld op uw tweede scherm?

want ik kan alleen warnings terugvinden ivm met uw 2e scherm in Xorg.0.log.
uw 1e scherm zou toch moeten werken uit Xorg.0.log af te leiden


xserver vind je benq monitor blijkbaar niet:

ge kunt eens proberen om bij de Device Sections de optie MonitorLayout mee te geven.

xserver start wel maar ik krijg alleen beeld op mijn BenQ scherm dus niet op mijn laptopscherm.

Dat is allemaal niet gelukt.

Ik zal de laatse wijzigingen nog maar eens laten zien.

Ik krijg ook alleen maar beeld op mijn BenQ scherm. (Deze was aangesloten tijdens de installatie van debian)

mja hij blijft dit geven he:
(WW) RADEON(1): Only one monitor detected, Second screen will NOT be created

als ge uw extern scherm niet aansluit, krijgt ge dan beeld op uw laptop?
anders eens uw xorg.conf backuppen en eens dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg uitvoeren.
kijk eens of ge verschillen ziet met de file die dpkg-reconfigure dan creeert en uw backup file


kheb zelf nog geen ervaring met dual sceen setup :)
kga het binnekort wel eens proberen met mijn macbook (eerst nog een minidvi-dvi adapter kopen)

Als ik zonder extern scherm opstart dan krijg ik wel beeld op mijn laptop scherm. Als ik daarna het externe scherm aansluit en daarna xstart opstart dan komt het beeld weer op het externe scherm en zegt hij nog altijd in xorg.0.log dat hij het tweede scherm niet kan dedecteren. Het is precies alsof het externe scherm mijn primary scherm wordt en het laptopscherm uitgeschakeld wordt.

Ik heb het opgelost. Ik heb de flgrx driver geïnstalleerd en toen werkte alles.
Heb wel mijn xorg.conf moeten aanpassen zodat alle resoluties enz... in orde waren.

Merci voor de hulp en waarschijnlijk tot zeer binnenkort met een nieuwe beginners vraag.
Het archief is een bevroren moment uit een vorige versie van dit forum, met andere regels en andere bazen. Deze posts weerspiegelen op geen enkele manier onze huidige ideeën, waarden of wereldbeelden en zijn op sommige plaatsen gecensureerd wegens ontoelaatbaar.
