Archief - glxgears is naar de kloten

Het archief is een bevroren moment uit een vorige versie van dit forum, met andere regels en andere bazen. voor dat ik de nieuwe nvidiadrivers installeerde werkte glxgears wel nog. Nu dat ik de nvidiadrivers heb geinstalleerd krijg ik deze toffe foutmelding:

wat heb ik nu weer verkeerd uitgestoken :ironic: . Ik heb ook al mijn XF86Config aangepast zoals in de readme stond.

Ik vind het tof om in linux te brielen maar ik slaag er iedere keer in om wel iets verkeerd te doen. :doh:

geen idee wat je verkeerd gedaan hebt maar lees dit eens en doet het dan eens opnieuw.

# First off download the NVIDIA drivers from their website, at the moment (unless you are somehow running a 64bit processor which I doubt) you want the ones in the IA32 section. The name of the file you download should be in the form NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-xxxx.run, where xxxx is the version number.
# Next you need root access, log in as root and go into the /etc directory. In there should be a file called inittab
# Alter the line that reads id:5:initdefault: to read id:3:initdefault: and save
# Reboot
# The computer should now boot to the console (for those who are familliar with windows, it should look a bit like DOS). Log in as root.
# Type in the following commands:
cd [where the NVIDIA drivers were saved to] (for example if you saved them to /root you would type cd /root)
sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-xxxx.run where xxxx is the version number
# Proceed through the installer, if something goes wrong, see the troubleshooter at the end of the article. Please note that the "No preconfigured kernel interface found" error is fairly normal.
# Boot into X, using the command: startx
# You should still have root at this point, edit the XF86Config file in /etc/X11 and change all instances of driver "nv" (or driver "vesa") to driver "nvidia". Also remove all instances of load "dri" and load "GLcore" and make sure there is load "glx" in the relevent section, amongst all the other load commands. Save
# Now edit the previously mentioned inittab file back to saying id:5:initdefault:
# Restart X with ctrl+alt+backspace or just reboot.
# The NVIDIA splash screen should now come up, indicating you have installed your NVIDIA drivers! Congratulations!

Ik heb het juist gezien, ik heb driver "nv" laten staan en geen driver "nvidia" van gemaakt. Domme fout. Had beter moeten lezen. :doh: :doh:
