I've been using dapper x86_64 as a ftp server but the download performance seems to be lower than the upload performance (30k+ versus 20k+). I've tried different hd's and ftp daemons, always the same problem. Switching to a higher mtu didn't work either.
Strangely, when I upload something, the cpu works at about 50%, while only at 20% while downloading. Could this be causing the slower performance?
Specs: NF3 native gigabit - Sempron CPU - 6.06 64 bit ( - glFTPd)
OS is dus ubuntu
De kernvraag is dus: wat zijn de optimale ethernet instellingen voor een gigabit ftp?
