Kzit weer met een probleem... ik had iemand op een engels forum gevraagd wat ik moest gebruiken in plaats van de booleanoptie (3d MAX) en dit is zijn oplossing:
get the clip without the f'ed up boolean
convert it to editable mesh(I assume you can figure that out)
Click on the selection so that you select full polygons(The bar with verticies, edges, faces, etc to select... Pick the second to last one on the right).
Click on the side of the clip
Scroll down the drag list on the bottom right, the one where you selected the polygon selecting previously.
Find Bevel.
Click on the side of the clip, hold, and drag. You will notice it is either moving in or away from the clip. Drag it around until you get it to how it was before.
Now you will be able to move your mouse around that makes the polygon larger or smaller. Make is a little smaller, then click left mouse button.
Now, where you selected to select polygons, select the first option, verticies.
Go back to the model, and find where the new verticies are according to where you 'shrunk' the model.
Move those polys to where the clip detail should be, on the top and bottom(move the verticies to the edge).
Now go select the polygon selecting from that same place you picked to select verticies.
Click on the area inside where you put the new verticies, to select the new face.
Go back to bevel, but instead of picking bevel, pick extrude, near it.
Click on the face, hold, and drag. Drag it around until it goes inside of the clip as far as you want.
If its not detailed enough for you, figure out how to chamfer.
Hope this helps.
