I went to an apple store yesterday and they had 10+ ipads laying around of all sorts, so the story of apple europe not being able to deliver doesnt make sense to me.

I can follow up and try and get more details, but I really don't think I or anyone else at Lock has any reason to lie about this. I'm not sure if the promotional orders like we do have a different shipping priority or what the issue is there. I'll try and find more information, but I feel like if it was some sort of scam to take your money that the cash option would never have been on the table and the NA users would have had similar issues. Since the issues seem to be isolated to EU orders it does make sense when looking at it from my end.
From your end I can see how seeing iPads in an Apple store might give you the wrong message, so I'll follow up so I can answer with more details.

It's just hard to understand the whole situation when I see someone living 50km from where I live already have his iPad, the same goes for a lot of American and Canadian players. Yet somewhere along the way there was a bump and a lot of euro players didn't get them yet. And I'm just trying to figure out why there seem to be so many problems.

Obviously when they're telling us there is a severe shortage and I go to the Apple UK store (I actually went there to place an order today just to verify) and it says 1-3 days that is defnitely conflicting information.
I did confirm that we've pre-paid for all of the orders, so that's certainly not an issue or the hold up. I will let everyone know once I get a response back from them.

so given recent depelopments, I thought I'd pm you again. So apparently some (?) people have the option of choosing 700$ instead of the ipad. Would that be an option for me? Finished the bonus May, got the mail concerning the color etc June 1st.
If I do choose the ipad anyway, what timeframe can you say it would be delivered or is this still an unknown?
Anyway, I'm happy we are getting some responses in the ipad thread, and things are starting to move again. ( don't know if this is a correct saying though... )
