adaptec heeft een kaart pci die de omvorming kan doen van video signiaal naar een laptop lcd signiaal, zo een kaart kost gemakkelijk 180€ zie pic 1
en dan heb je nog de omvormer voor de stroom naar 5 volt ook
afhankelijk van type lcd heb je een type controlkeer nodig

Once you get your controller you'll need cables to connect them together. One source of connecting cables is www.quadrangleproducts.com They are not cheap however. I got a quote for a QD1129 cable and a QD2968 cable with 31 pin DF9 connector on some side and they are $26.95 each. Ouch. I can get a panel off ebay for 1/2 that price.

Once you get your controller you'll need cables to connect them together. One source of connecting cables is www.quadrangleproducts.com They are not cheap however. I got a quote for a QD1129 cable and a QD2968 cable with 31 pin DF9 connector on some side and they are $26.95 each. Ouch. I can get a panel off ebay for 1/2 that price.

ben ook een eindje zitten zoeken ivm zo'n projectje... Het is weldegelijk mogelijk!
Voor oudere TFT's: Je zoekt de pin-out op van de kabels (not shielded, meestal flatcable) en de pin-out van een VESA connector op een oude grafische kaart (ISA,PCI of AGP(waar is den tijd)). Wanneer die matchen, solderen. Softwarematig kun je dan een OSD instellen e.d.

waarom eingelijk een notebookscherm nemen? ok, heel leuk als je dat kan recoveren maar als je de prijs dan bekijkt voor zulk een controller en je weet dat je al voor 140€ een 19" widescreen hebt die je zo aan je vga kan aansluiten...
oke, notebook LCD's zijn over het algemeen mindere stroomzuipers=minder hitte dat in je case lekt en ze zijn ook compacter. maar da zijn dan ook de enige voordelen, niet?

Ik vind het persoonlijk jammer dat je perfect werkend 17inch widescreen moet weggooien omdat het moederbord kapot is. Je gooit je wagen ook niet weg wanneer er een defect is aan de motor?
Vb.: ik wil dit gewoon inbouwen in mn slaapkamer als TVschermpje. Voor 40€ heb je een werkend monitor'tje of 70€ een TV'tje.

Gewoon, ik vindt het persoonlijk jammer om een perfect werkend 15,4 of 17inch TFT'tje weg te werpen omdat het moederbordje kapot is van de laptop... Je gooit toch ook je auto niet weg als er een defect is aan de motor? En gewoon als uitdaging om te zien of het mogelijk is als non-elektronica-dude 
Als product-ontwikkelaar kak ik op het feit dat er geen uniformiteit of standardisatie bestaat van die aanstuurbekabeling... In dezen tijd komaan... De inverters zijn nu al wat gemakkelijker op te zoeken maar de pinout van alle verschillende type schermen
Ook weet ik dat contron(.com) zulke aanstuurbordjes(VGA/DVI in to LVDS; low voltage deferential signals) industrieel maakt (net vertegenwoordiger gesproken) maar dan moet je nog steeds een custom made kabeltje hebben die van dat printje naar je scherm gaat...
