QueenMab85 zei:Dear Mr. O'Quinn - You are fabulous on the show. I look forward to seeing you and your ominous scar every weekI was wondering if you'd ever been injured during an acting job, either on Lost or during some other project. Thanks for your time!
oquinn zei:Dear Queen Mab, I know you......."Come to me tomorrow and you shall find me a grave man" I hope you don't have Maab's effect on everyone. I've been to the hospital once for an inadvertant slice to the hand while practicing with the knives as Locke! Five stitches! Other than that, the occasional sprain or ache. I got a good deal of mud in the eyes while doing a fight scene for LOST which hasn't aired yet. Had to see an eye doctor. You'll know the one when you see it.
Happy Now Year! Terry

TVG: Do you ever go online to see what the fans are saying?
TOQ: No. I used to, but this year I began to be frustrated with the character and where he was going on the show. People online were aking questions I was asking myself, and it was getting in my head too much, so I stopped.
oquinn zei:Hello there, Shark bait. Sorry I didn't explain myself better back in Nov. Had to get away. So many people were expressing opinions about the show and the character that it was beginning to affect my attitude...........and my work. I tried to answer too many questions and found myself feeling exposed and a little overwhelmed..................had to get the feeling back........still working on it.
Be well
Much love
Terry
emaleythe zei:Hi, loving the show more than words can express, and I haven't been into tv for years.
My question is about the opening sequence. I personally love that it's just the shot of "Lost" floating up into the screen, but wondered if there will be a a "traditional" opening sequence in the future with a theme song (God no) and pictures of the cast. Any ideas?
JJ Abrams zei:Funny thing, the title card...
While we were in post production on the pilot (a VERY rushed experience, that), I made the floating "LOST" word on my trusty 12" Apple laptop.* It was always meant to be temporary.* The weird tones you hear was something I did on the Mac as well.* Before we aired the first episodes, we actually hired a pro title company to put together a title sequence.* I wrote a theme song (even recorded an orchestra playing it), but at the end of the day, it all felt... well, not like the show.* While it was FINE, what it FELT like was a typical TV show, and it just didn't get us excited.
That one 3D word, just floating toward the camera, out, then in, then out of focus, just felt like LOST.* So we kept it.* And now, every time I see it on air, it makes me laugh, 'cause it was just a goofy placeholder that's now on national TV every week.
Continued props to the Macintosh.
