.
I haven't Vlogged in so long, cuz I've been like, just on the road pretty much, without good enough internet to use the VPN to get on YouTube. But, anyways.
I went to the chinese LCS, and, it's fairly professional, like, it's small. The crowd is more.. It's bigger than American LCS and European LCS crowd vise. There's like about 500 seats, so about 500 people can fit into the crowd, but that's miniscules, and it's free. It's free adminssion, and the stage is the best I've ever seen. Like, yea the stage is just really good. It has 3 giant ass screens. Everything is connected. (Can't for the love of god understand what he says here, but It's something about the gaming house iG he's in, and something they have related to the scree).
But yea, the stage is freaking awesome. And it's super hot in the room, like, 500 people cheering, and there's no aircondition, so it's insanely hot, you understand, it gets like 90+ degrees in that room. And the fans are super divided. Like, if it's WE vs iG, literally half the room on blue side if it's WE they'll be on that side of the room, where as the other side will be iG. And they hate eachother. I've never seen like, you know what I mean, in the States whoever wins is like "Yeeea! Yeeaa!" The team you really really like, might have lost, but if it's been a good series, then everyone cheers regardless.
But in China it's like, if WE loses, their side is quiet. It's like crickets man. And it's all like, iG's side pretty much.
And there's an incident after the Starswars, i think Starswar tournament, where iG won 3-2, someone threw a cup, like a WE fan threw a cup at PDD. It's like 'wow', dude, fans are rabbid as fuck in China, and it's like 'holy shit.'
Especially in the LCS, I mean LPL, it's super close, it's like top-6 or top-5 are just like, a few wins or losses within eachother. It wasn't like TSM, DIG & Curse where it's pretty much those 3 battleing for top 2. It's pretty much anyones game, and, right now it's Team OMG who is ahead, and they are so solid, it's kind of insane. It's just like 'wtf' how solid they are, in every aspect. And they just crush everyone, they just crush like iG and WE in like 20 minutes, so wtf.
But the competetion is so fierce in China, like not just in the LPL, but the amateur scene is sooooo massive. There's like 30+, imagine 30+ DIG's, are like Dignitases. That's how many clubs there are in China that's professional clubs, and they all wanna get into LPL. So the amateur scene is stupidly competetive. Like, I don't know, the pressure on these kids, 15 year old kids is so insane. And they're getting sallery, and they're all in Gaming Houses, and there's only 8 spots to fight for. So you can just imagine how competetive it is.
And another part is, every team is sorta for themselves. It's just the Chinese culture, like, everyone's out for themselves. You know, the product is not always some of the parts, you know. If you work together you can create more than just...(short pause) It's not just A & B, it's something more.
The idea is like, everyone understands that, but everyone is just looking out for themselves, they're not willing to help, at all. So each club are uuh, like I don't think anyone scrims against eachother. WE doesn't scrim against anyone in the LPL, they all scrim against Korean teams, and play Korean Solo Queue. And iG doesn't scrim against anyone, and it's just like 'wtf', they just don't scrim against eachother, so..
It's not like North America, yea sure, maybe you don't scrim against Curse because you played them that week, but after that it's like 'cool buddy buddy.'
Oh, and another cool thing is, they have computers in the hotel rooms. Cuz, players spend like 3 of 7 days. Actually I'll have a video of that uploaded later, but.. Damn dude.. Tenscent have like 40 computers in the hotel rooms, and they're just like, permanently there. They bought out an entire floor of the hotel that's near the event, and they just put 5 computers in there for all the A-teams. I wish we had that in the LCS, but it's pretty insane.
Also, behind me, I don't know if you can see him? Nah, he's not there. But he's the Data-Analyst for iG. Like, he watches ALL the games against the teams they have to play against, and then find out; Ward placements, habbits and weaknesses and shit, it's like 'wow', the data analyst guy
it's like shiiit... To have one guy specifically doing that, altough we don't have one guy specifically doing that, but yea like, the players in the NA-scene all sorta do watch replays and previous tournament matches, but to have one guy do it is like... He finds shit dude, he finds shit, like your habbits you're not even remotely conscious of.
There's so much more shit that I've learned but, the foods been great, like everyday. I really like chineese food so Yaaaaay
. I think the best thing I had was, today we went out for a Hong Kong style tea/dumplings and it was fantastic. We were 4 people and we got like 10+ dishes, small dishes, and all of them were like super, so yea...
Uhm, aside from that, now I'm finally situated in iG, and I have good internet, so I should be able to stream more. Cuz, I haven't really streamed at all, since this trip, it's been that fun though. So, hoping to stream more, or atleast more than the 2 hours for like what, these past 2 weeks.
So see you guys, and I'll upload random ass videos of cool shit, Soon TM. Cuz like, it takes forever using a VPN to upload to YouTube, it's like 30+ minutes for a 3 minute video, so uuuuh. That's it, I don't wanna clump up the Vlog with so much shit.
Peace
