Het blijkt dus dat je per turn 2 jaar overbrugt. Ik vind dit zelf niet zo tof - campaign is korter en gunpowder was al uitgevonden toen ik nog niet eens catapults had. Ook heb ik pas 8 landjes en ben al over de helft heen.
Maar er is een oplossing!:
You can change this by setting the timescale at descr_strat at 1.00 or 0.50 instead of 2.00.
Dan speel je dus wel iets van 450 turns, zoals je in RTW deed. Na deze campaign ga ik dit zeker doen!
Ohja, tis wel zo dat je met die aanpassing het ene jaar zomer speelt en het andere jaar winter.
Edit: Weet er iemand hoe je aan die muzeik kunt komen zonder CE edition nog es te kopen naast m'n normal edition?

For your help I attach below the method by which you can alter the descr_strat (forgive me if I am teaching my grand mother to suck eggs) and the way to also unlock factions in the game.
Good luck - please find below the instructions for adjusting the Grand Campaign game duration for Medieval 2. Before you start, please make sure the game is not running. From the Windows desktop:
1. Double-click on My Computer
2. Double-click on your C:\ drive
3. Double-click on Program files
4. Double-click on Sega
5. Double-click on Medieval II Total War
6. Double-click on data
7. Double-click on world
8. Double-click on maps
9. Double-click on campaign
10. Double-click on imperial_campaign
11. Right-click on descr_strat.txt
12. Choose Properties from the menu that appears
13. Click Read Only to remove the tick mark
14. Click Okay
15. Double-click descr_strat.txt to open it
16. Look for the line timescale 2.00
You can change the number value to anything you like. I would recommend changing it to 1.00. This will bring the Grand Campaign length to about 450 turns.
If you want to unlock factions, you can do this by modifying the faction lists towards the top of the file. Look for the heading playable and you will see the unlocked factions. Below you will see unlockable factions. To unlock a faction, remove the faction name from the unlockable list, and add it to the playable list, being sure the keep the same formatting ie: remove the country you want to unlock from the locked section and enter it into the unlocked section making sure that the list of names is all aligned and has the same indents - much simpler than it sounds. Once you have finished editing the file:
17. Click the File menu
18. Click Save
19. Click the File menu
20. Click Exit

Wilt ge zo vriendelijk zijn om die kaart effe in te scannen. Zo'n mapke mis ik echt wel. Ik gebruikte het altijd bij rtw.
Ik zen er zeker van dat er veul zen die het ook wel zouden kunnen gebruiken.

Weet er toevallig iemand hoe ge die filmkes terug aanzet? Want ik kreeg altijd dezelfde en die moest ik nimmer zien, mor nu zie ik niks meer!

ja op deze manier heb je meer turns maar de tijdstippen blijven want die zijn getriggerd op een datum en niet op turns. En het trainen duurt nog evenveel turns want dit is wel weer per turn geregeld. Ik vind het in ieder geval beter. Realistischer ook. Het duurt nu geen 10 jaar meer om je crusade naar jeruzalem te krijgen maar 5. Realistischer
Ik zit met m'n England campaign nu al over de helft en heb nog niet zolang geleden de Schotten pas vermoord. Ook hebben trebuchets bij mij nooit het licht gezien. Ik loop al wel rond met culverins
Ik begin nu dus een nieuwe campaign. Andere factie waarschijnlijk. Nu worden die early, high en late periode ook duidelijker
NB: Als je al een campaign hebt heeft de aanpassing geen invloed op die campaign, alleen op de nieuwe!

Op wikipedia staat dat alleen de Socket 754/939/AM2 versies dit ondersteunen. Weet iemand of dat in mijn geval zo is? Want zou maar kut zijn als ik nieuwe pc koop en die Medieval 2 niet kan draaien
