A donkey, a donkey, my kingdom for a donkey! « DIMIC

I've been away for a few days, just visiting my family for a week and had a bachelorette party (no, not mine), and what do I see when I get back? First 4 Figures announced a new statue! And not just a new statue but also the first one in a new line! And I must say, minus some details, that I'm liking what I see.

It's been a while since I reviewed the last girl from Kotobukiya's Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 line, but here she is! And like I said in my introduction of the previous one (Hitomi), I'm not sure whether or not this is the fourth one released... Technically, the special edition of this one got released before Hitomi but the one I'm reviewing, the regular, got released after Hitomi... Confusing, I know...

Honey doesn’t only attract bees! « DIMIC

San Diego Comic Con (or SDCC for short) and the previewing days has never surprised me as much as this year. And strangely, the most interesting statues of them all are from a company we normally don't follow; Gentle Giant.

Megaman is back for more! « DIMIC

Bandai Japan was also on SDCC (San Diego Comic Con) and finally, they showed some more Megaman D-Arts stuff! And even though I found some sneaks a fair while ago, I'm still pretty excited for these figures!

An impressive-looking blade… but nothing more. « DIMIC

There are a few companies that I really love and First 4 Figures is definitely on top of that list. But even though I love them, they're making some weird choices lately that I absolutely don't approve of. Like increasing edition sizes after the announcement (and thus after receiving my order for the statue). But what they're doing now, rrrrrrrreally pisses me off!

One of the newest additions to my interests-radar is Project Triforce. I've known them for quite a while (since I found out they did the Marcus Fenix statue from the Epic Edition) but lately, they're getting very interesting with their guns and whatnot. And now they do something I really like. They're making a statue of a game that hasn't been released yet; Death from Darksiders 2!

Don’t fear change, embrace it. « DIMIC

Almost a year ago, I previewed Sota Toys' Embrace statue. If you've read that one, you'd know how horrified I was at the preview pictures of said statue and how sad it made me. Sad because I really, really like the idea and pose but as usual with Sota products, the quality really is sub par...
Luckily they stated that the final product would be better. And my, were they wrong...

This is going to be a painful year for those that collect game related statues. First the Mass Effect Shepard PF and now this. And just like with the ME one, there are also quite some changes I'd like to see with this one...
