The intensity of the music that night perfectly reflected our deep gratitude towards you, for making our 15th anniversary so damn special and unique.
It’s safe to say that this edition will go down in history as one of the Kozzmozz highlights of the past 15 years. Not even the heavy snowfall could stop us from throwing a damn good techno party. Airports may have been closed, roads covered in snow, but both the artists and you made it to our B-day extravaganza safely and in big numbers. It didn’t take long for the Vooruit to fill up and to re-live the T-Quest experience. A lot of our favourite classics and typical Kozzmozz mayhem exploded from the speakers, giving you a strong taste of how Kozzmozz sounded like throughout the different stages in our history. Meanwhile, Black Francis delivered his unique style of blending those timeless records, warming up your hips for Spacid, who played a solid techno set with a technical fast-mixing style that kept you moving to those beats. It was clear that you all loved it.Back in the main room, Surgeon took over, taking Rolando’s spot in the line-up who's Flight was delayed in Paris, waiting impatiently to brave the snow to make you sweat. Surgeon, a frequent guest at Kozzmozz for many years now, gave the people what they wanted, a typical dark Surgeon style set, filled with classic delights and relentless pounding. He literally nailed you to the dancefloor! We didn’t expect anything less! The lasers beamed, the balcony filled up and we all got intoxicated by those timeless techno tunes. Rolando, who meanwhile made it through the snow, took you on a journey into various shades of techno, from harder beats to deeper vibes; waves of different emotions made the dancefloor both tremble and indulge. And it wouldn’t be Rolando without his über techno anthem 'Knights of the Jaguar' one of the unforgettable highlights of the night. Things started to heat up as Kr!z took to the decks and turned the small room into a packed sweaty mass of hungry technonautes, delivering a great set of relentless techno gems. You were all on fire when Trish finally took over and lived up to her reputation of the leading techno lady of Belgium. She played a varied but solid techno set spiced with classics and Detroit influenced records that so typify a pure Trish Van Eynde set! In the main room, co-founder and long-time resident of Kozzmozz played the closing set and took us all into a time capsule, back to those nights where he used to destroy the crowds with this typical and revered hard and dark techno sets. 6 am in the morning, but you just couldn’t leave, could you? And we couldn’t leave you, so the Vooruit gave us the honour to push on an extra half hour, to punish your bodies even more… till the very end of a brilliant Kozzmozz edition! We couldn’t thank you enough for celebrating with us 15 years of intense partying! We hope to see you soon, on our next journey into our Kozzmozz! Check out the photos of this memorable night!
