Concept:
In two years time, Beats of love has established itself as one of Belgium’s most popular electro events with an atmosphere that is hard to top!
With a lot of big international names as Tiefschwarz, Les Petits Pilous, Tocadisco, Mason, Alex Gopher, Dr. Lektroluv and many others, Beats of Love features all forms of contemporary electro music as long as it’s party minded, twisted and refreshing. Next to big stars, there’s also room for upcoming talents and obviously the Belgian scène is not forgotten with both established and upcoming names as The Subs, Ed & Kim, Sound of Stereo, Ultravid, …
As such we present a vibrant mix of different forms and styles of electro that fire up the dance-floor and spread a very open and loving vibe. We just love those beats!
This time they will be provided by Philippe Zdar of the massive Cassius formation, who helped create the “French sound” and scored a mega hit with “Cassius 1999”, followed by an album with the same name. After their second album “Au Révé”, their third album followed in 2006. With “15 again” they brought a new master-piece with lots of collaborations that re-captured the vibe from when they were young and opened their music up to a whole new generation. Year 2009 and he is still one of the top French dj’s as his sets proof time after time.
Upcoming talent to watch out for is presented this time with Popof, who scored a big club hit with his 2007 “Alcoolic” production. Since then he’s been asked to remix the likes of Moby, Tiga, Zombie Nation and Lutzenkirchen amongst others. His productions can be found on labels such as Turbo, Skryptom, CR2 and many others. He is a name to watch out for as we’ll definitely be hearing more from this guy, who has his own particular approach to electro, in the future.
Cook-E & Matic from Dirty Dancing and Switch fame have proven their worth on Beats of Love and are the Belgian guests for the night while resident Spacid, former resident of the famous Body 2 Body parties completes this editions line-up.
