nieuw Daggers nummer op een split met At Daggers Drawn. klinkt fucking awesome, zou zo van Cursed kunnen zijn.

Hebt ge along the acheron al gehoord van daggers ? if so, wa vinde ervan? ik vond die EP echt megacool maar ik raak er maar niet in. Muzikaal is 't meer van tzelfde (wa in hun geval nie slecht is) ma de vocals zijn echt nie te vergelijken met die EP.

Kris vonnek ook een pak beter op vocaal vlak. Jammere zaak want muzikaal zijn die wel nice

ja ik vind de vocals ook ni zo lekker opgenomen op die full length.. maar als je de zanger live hoort, shit. Op die split klinken de vocals al beter!

Lap, een van de weinige bands die ik nog is graag wou terug zien. 2/3(?) jaar geleden op Herk was het te kut voor woorden (en dan ook enkel en alleen door de bende mongolen die daar wat stonden achterlijk te doen. (no offence t.o.v. mongolen verder).

Heartsounds tekent bij Epitaph Records

Epitaph Records is proud to announce the signing of San Francisco based punk rock group Heartsounds. The band is scheduled to open up for punk legends and labelmates Bad Religion at House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA, on March 25 and House of Blues in Anaheim, CA, on April 2.

Formed from the ashes of now defunct melodic death-metal band Light This City, Heartsounds consists of founding members Laura Nichol (guitars/vocals) and Ben Murray (guitars/vocals) who after growing tired of banging heads decided to return to their true love…punk rock.

“Laura and I have always been first and foremost, punk rock kids as well as intensely dedicated fans of the genre,” says Murray. “From the time before Light This City started, our favorite bands were Bad Religion, Strung Out, Good Riddance, etc. It is actually the precision and technical proficiency of those kinds of bands that inspired us to push our abilities even further into the metal genre. However, upon getting burnt out playing such heavy music, we decided to return to our roots and finally write a punk record!”

Blending the speed and precision of heavy-metal influenced punk rock like Strung Out and Propagandhi, with the more melodic and mid-tempo sensibilities of Hot Water Music and Bad Religion, Heartsounds’ music is a throwback to 90’s punk rock and 80’s thrash metal updated with a style all their own. Epitaph owner and president Brett Gurewitz took notice of the band in late 2009 and immediately expressed interest in signing the band.

“Epitaph has always been one of our favorite labels, going as far back as to when Laura and I were 13 years old,” Murray adds. “That being said, when Brett Gurewitz emailed us one day expressing interest in Heartsounds, we knew right away that we were the luckiest band on earth! From there, we flew down to LA to meet with everyone at the office, and were treated incredibly well. Everyone at the label is so impressive with their respective positions, and most importantly, they seemed to be genuine fans of their bands! That experience only further solidified our feeling that Epitaph would be the absolute perfect match for Heartsounds. With such an impressive roster of artists, both past and present, as well as years of experience creating the punk rock sound that directly influenced our musical formation, we couldn't ask for a better home!”

A few months back we got in touch with someone over at Enough Is Enough. The idea is to release a compilation to benefit gay marriage and rights. The Murderdolls zijn terug van weggeweest!

Slipknot-drummer Joey Jordison, Static X-gitarist Tripp Eisen en zanger Wednesday13 hebben bekend gemaakt dat ze aan het werken zijn aan een nieuw album, samen met producer Chris ‘Zeuss’ Harris.

In 2004 had de band bekend gemaakt dat ze er voor een tijdje mee gingen ophouden, maar nu, 6 jaar later, zijn ze dus terug.

De band gaf ook al een interview aan Kerrang!:

WHAT STARTED THE BALL ROLLING WITH REGARDS TO PLAYING TOGETHER AGAIN?
“It’s been an ongoing conversation between Wednesday and I from 2006 until now. We were bored with everything out there, and thought we had something to piss people off and shake things up. Everything is such a product or a fucking formula these days... Fuck formula! Fuck the norm!”

APART FROM WEDNESDAY 13, WHO ELSE IS IN THE BAND?
“Much like the way Darkthrone or Satyricon make records, Wednesday and I are doing the record ourselves with a couple of very special guests.”

DO YOU HAVE ANY PLANS TO HIT THE UK SOON?
“Oh, we have plans! Just wait and see, UK! We love you guys and it will be well worth the wait! If you have a problem finding a band that rocks, if no-one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire The M-Team!”

Cokie played about 5 or 6 songs, including a two or three minute acoustic version of “The Decline” which was amazing, “My Orphan Year”, “Cokie The Clown”, and two brand new songs “Drinking Pee” and “La Pietà,” (which means “pity” in Italian). All that turned out to be an ancillary part of the show however. The series of stories Cokie told started off with an account of how back in the mid -’80s Mike and Eric Melvin had witnessed a girl being forcefully carried down the stairs of a club on her way to being raped. As it goes, they both stood there watching slack jawed as she stared at them helplessly, then she grabbed onto both of them and yelled, “Help me!”. The men told Mike and Eric not to say a word. They did exactly that and went upstairs to watch the Vandals perform.

The pills didn’t kill her. After telling the rest of his family to exit the room, the nurse gave Mike a lethal dose of insulin to administer to his Mother. Mike injected her with the insulin and then proceeded to gently hold a pillow over his Mothers face until she ceased to breathe. After telling this story Mike played a never-released or played song that he wrote about the event.

As Mike finished his last song, he announced that he had a video that he had prepared especially for this evening. The mood in the building was completely fucked at this point. Upon instruction, his videographer hooked up the same camera he had been recording on the entire time to a 20-something inch TV that was positioned stage left. His camera man rewound through the entire footage to reveal a scene that occurred kitty-corner to the artist entrance of this venue. There, Mike was with his clearly visible naked dick filling a bottle of Patron Anejo, that started about 5/8 full to mask the taste, with piss. Without cutting away, the camera tracked with Mike, in full Cokie the Clowngarb, as he corked the bottle, walked into the venue, and served it to the very crowd that now looked on in amazement. As the scene unfolded, some of the crowd cheered but most of us were too disturbed for emotion.

Wie 't niet kan geloven, en liever zelf is ziet, ik heb er 4 youtube filmpjes van gevonden ( ge kunt maar 10 min filmpjes uploaden naar youtube, dus da's gewoon de show van begin tot einde ), en ik heb die hier achter elkaar geplaatst. Have fun, ge wordt er stil van. ( En hoe ambetant is da publiek wel ni ! )
