The venue for the Ghana-Togo international friendly has moved from France to Belgium, the FA has announced.
A statement added that the Black Stars’ first fixture for the year would also be played 24 hours earlier than the original date announced. It will now take place on February 8 instead of February 9 in the Belgium city of Antwerp at the 17000 capacity Bosuilstadion.
FA officials told Goal.com the change in schedule is to enable most of the players to return quickly to their clubs to secure their positions at this crucial stage of the season, especially in Europe.
The Sparrow Hawks last met Ghana in an international friendly on 16 August and fell in a 2-0 defeat.
The match that was originally scheduled to take place at Lens, France would be coach Goran Stevanovic’s debut and it is to prepare the team for their next 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo in March.
