Gisterenavond vond de tiende editie plaats van de jaarlijkse The Game Awards. Dit jaar ging de volledige show door in Los Angeles en werd ze opnieuw gepresenteerd door Geoff Keighley. Er werden, naast talloze aankondigingen, ook nog eens 29 awards uitgereikt, waarbij ASTRO BOT de winnaar van de avond werd, aangezien ze vier van hun zeven nominaties wisten te verzilveren. De belangrijkste daarbij was natuurlijk het winnen van de Game of the Year award. Ook Baldur's Gate 3 viel nog maar eens in de prijzen met het winnen van de Best Community Support award en ook voor GTA VI was er al een eerste (en wellicht niet enige) award weggelegd.
