Ubisoft may have plans to launch public alpha and beta tests for online shooter The Division ahead of its launch next year, CEO Yves Guillemot has suggested.
Discussing the game's delay during Ubisoft's earnings call last night, Guillemot explained to listeners that The Division is "an RPG online game. Those games take more time to be completed and we want to make sure we have enough feedback from consumers from alpha and betas to polish it as much as possible before the launch so that it comes to the market with the best experience possible."
Ubisoft has yet to formally confirm plans for an alpha or beta test, despite code allegedly being discovered in the game's website pointing to an upcoming alpha. An Xbox One beta test was also rumoured for March but never materialised.
