Yves Guillemot: Op dit moment werkt het team hard aan de versie voor de volgende generatie spelcomputers en de PC. Daarna gaan andere teams kijken hoe ze het kunnen brengen op de huidige generatie spelcomputers. Misschien dat we op de E3 de twee verschillende versies kunnen laten zien.

That's according to the publisher's executive director for EMEA territories Alain Coore, who told Edge last week that Ubisoft wants Watch Dogs to crack a new genre for the publisher, namely the "open-style GTA genre'.

"Yes, Grand Theft Auto is one of the biggest brands in the industry and everybody respects the brand and we'll have fun playing the next one too," he said. "But I think Watch Dogs' positioning is also on next-gen, bringing a lot of features - connectivity, interactivity, companion gaming and so on which is bringing some freshness to the genre."

Corre believes that the popularity of the GTA series can only help Watch Dogs succeed. "The spirit will be that this kind of game is great fun and I think Watch Dogs can also bring a lot of the same fans."

Watch Dogs is currently in development for both current and next-gen consoles, as well as PC. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot recently revealed that the team's focus is on building the game for next-gen consoles and then backwards adapting for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Heb het eens vlug gelezen de wii u zou zelf grafisch nog zwakker zijn dan de ps3, is verre van next gen dus

Artikel toont toch aan dat de wii u geen next gen is en grafisch minder sterk is dan een ps3, waarom zou je hem dan nog uberhaupt willen kopen op de wii u

Verwacht zeker geen hoogstande graphics zoals je gezien hebt in de trailers van watch dogs op je wii u

Tja alles wat er op internet staat kan je zeggen dat het geen feiten zijn. Je kan maar één ding doen en dat is afwachten tot er gameplay verschijnt van de wii u versie. Hoef je ook niet te doen want kijk naar de huidige games nu van de wii u, zijn toch ook niet bepaald grafische parels.

Ik weet allesinds waarvoor ik hem ga kopen.

Hehe ik ben er nog niet aan uit. Ps4 is al gepreordered, maar als die hier twee maand naz release van de game komt, dan ga ik alvast niet wachten

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has said Watch Dogs developer, Ubisoft Montreal, was given a much as it needed in order to make the best game possible.


Speaking with MCV, Guillemot after he “revelation” which was E3, the popularity of the game gave the firm a chance to increase the team’s size, along with “all the capacity they wanted to fulfill their dream.”

“You always have great ideas, but you need enough people to bring it to life. After E3, we really made sure they had all the teams they needed and it’s an open world, that is well-adapted to what people want to play today. So there’s good potential for success,” he said.
