Er is precies sprake van een unified timeline, zou me niet verbazen als Legacy of Atlantis als remake van de eerste komt, zodat de tijdslijn wat mooier op elkaar past.

Open World Tomb Raider past alvast wel.

Omdat de original gamers ondertussen ook richting die middelbare leeftijd aan't gaan zijn?

Ze was 21 in TR2013, 23 in Rise en 26 in Shadow (Bron)
Bij de vliegtuigcrash in Legend is ze 9, en het spel is 20 jaar later (na de prequels). Underworld daarna nog.
Aangezien dit spel zich "jaren na Underworld" afspeelt, lijkt het me dan ook niet abnormaal dat ze ergens in de tweede helft van de 30 is (middelbaar zou ik ze nog niet noemen precies).
